Nice bit of artwork on the new Skint and Demoralised single "The Thrill of Thirty Seconds". That would be Leeds United hardman Billy Bremner lunging in against Everton midfielder and fellow gingerhead man, Alan Ball. The single is not half bad either, how cool is it that northern english accents are back in fashion ! I guess we can all thank Alex Turner for that.
Skint and Demoralised is the stage name, Matt Abbott is the real name. Hailing from Wakefield in South Yorkshire, Matt apparently grew up as a Leeds United fan and is obviously paying tribute to one of his heroes with the sleeve art, although it has got nothing to do with the song it really captures a moment. It's about football as it was, not as it is now. It captures the Northern spirit, as does the song "The Thrill of Thirty Seconds" which is due out on November 17th. You can get more info about Matt here.
Check out the video, shot entirely on location in Wakefield city centre !
