Up to 2009, Sporting ID (and Chris Kay before that) were a licensee of Lextra. In 2009 both the license agreement and the patent protection expired and Sporting ID moved forward with their own branded "lextra" material. SensCilia is made by electrically manipulating tiny multi-colored fibers to stand on end and then applying a layer of adhesive to one end. Originally created by Lextra and Fiberlock in the United States, Sporting ID has made the term "Lextra" synonymous with authenticity and official player issue transfers. Now they hope to do the same with SensCilia.
We now have the new 2009/2010 Premier League Champions sleeve badges to be worn by Manchester United. These badges, that say 08/09 Champions, feature sublimated Premier League word mark throughout the gold satin layer. Look for this "4-D" variation on 3-D badges to become more common, with the UEFA Champions League sleeve badge already sporting a subtle design in the background layer. Dear Onion-Baggers:
There are a number of serious errors and legal problems with the "Goodbye Lextra..." information in this blog:
* neither the license nor the patent for Lextra 3-D has expired in 2009, patents remain in effect and you will receive a letter from the licensor HVG informing you about infringement of these patents in Europe and the USA
* Chris Kay was licensed by High Voltage Graphics, not by Lextra (which is a product) or FiberLok (which is the USA licensee)
* FiberLok is spelled wrong
* Lextra license ran until it was terminated by HVG in 2008, not 2009
Please note that any purchse of product infringing the original Lextra patent(s) would be in support of unauthorized, counterfeit Lextra product which is only available from FiberLok in the USA and dekoGraphics GmbH in Germany. Manufacturers of genuine Lextra support authenticity around the world and condemn illegitimate copies and other rip-offs which serve to work against truly original products that are created as a result of hard work, imagination and consistent commitment to quality.
Visit www.lextra.com to experience the real thing, the product that created the entire market for performance-engineered multicolor flock heat transfers.

hi again onionbaggers,,,
we have just noticed also that for some reason on your page
http://www.onionbag.com/premier-league-printing-693.aspx
you for some reason feel free to use our federally registered trademark product name Lextra for unauthorized Lextra-copy product; sadly we must defend the rights to our name and hope there are people and organiztions in this industry who respect original trademark rights, who prefer to source these products from the authentic and original sources and who will stop by www.lextra.com for the real thing
we strongly suggest you please remove the brand name Lextra from this site because that is not what you are selling, you are using our name to sell something else it seems!
we are also sorry to see you are not better informed about property rights in an industry that depends largely on branding and the security of protecting legal patents and trademarked brands
sporting ID have neither the right to use the name Lextra nor the right to use the Lextra manufacturing technology, available exclusively through the original producer FiberLok in the USA (www.fiberlok.com) or dekoGraphics GmbH in Germany for the European market
thank you for the opportunity to post the truth here in your blog
thank you in advance for cooperation in these matters

Baggers,
When you get around to reading these blog posts please at the same time check out this item you are selling:
http://www.onionbag.com/0809-fifa-club-world-cup-champions-badge-5098.aspx
which is either patent-infringing Lextra 3-D construction or is the new substandard "patent work-around" direct flocked applique for which you are unlawfully using our federally registered trademark name Lextra. Please cease immediately, and we intend to defend our legal rights and my team intends to play fairly under these challenging circumstances.
